When things don't go right or when expectations aren't met, it is easy to become angry at those around you. Anger is a natural emotion and one which even the Lord Jesus displayed on occasion. However, the Bible says, "By angry and do not sin: Do not let the sun go down on your anger, nor give place to the devil" Ephesians 4:26-27.
Anger in and of itself is not sinful. It is when one allows their anger to turn into such things as revenge, swearing, bitterness, hatred, abuse, etc. that it becomes a sin.
I was not planning on writing on this topic this week, but the Lord kept laying it on my heart to write and I could not get away from it. This tells me that the message is very much directed toward one of you (if not even several) who are reading this devotion. Head the message. It is for you!
Take your anger to the Lord. Don't let it dwell into the night. Let whatever has you angry go. Don't take your anger out on those whom you love and who have to live with you while you're angry. If you have a reason to be angry then it is okay to express yourself, but don't let it turn into sin. You are better than that! Deal with the root of your anger and let God help you with it. If I can help you in any way, let me know.
